This Picture of a Girl
Masquerading
In this picture of a girl.
Sitting serenly and stationed to smile,
Saying cheese and thinking of life.
Another moment to wait,
Needing to freeze until the shutter clicks.
Drowning in the frozen wall behind me,
Really needing to let myself be free.
Everlasting moment of falsity;
A true lie the scheme of life.
Laughter turns to tears,
Yet on and on lies consume me.
Not able to surface
Not able to breathe.
Everybody sees what they want through clouded visions.
Masks for everyone.
A different depth to life on every outside of you.
Click!
Freedom comes and I\'m able to move,
A smaller smile drips into place.
